film wizard: Post 7 Date-12/18/10

Merry Christmas! This is the film wizard. I know it's not Christmas but I put in my next post until after Christmas.

I just saw TRON: Legacy yesterday. It's time to review. It took them 27 years to make a sequel and this was the best they could come up with. It didn't really focus on the storyline and it mostly focused on the toys and whistles like the light cycles and the identity disks. And what happened to Tron was total bogus also with Kevin Flynn's ultimate fate. Watch the movie to see what I'm talking about. The only things that look cool are the effects and the settings. The 3D isn't bad either. I'm sorry to do this to this movie but I'm giving it 6 OUT OF 10 STARS.

Hi there! this is the film wizard. If anyone reads this please post a comment so I know you've read it.

If anyone loves the narnia books and films, well the third movie installment of narnia is coming out today in America and it came out December 2nd in Australia. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of The Dawn Treader. Lucy and Edmund from the previous films along with their cousin Eustace reunite with Aslan and the now King Caspian on the ship of The Dawn Treader to find the seven lost lords of Narnia. The mouse Repicheep comes along as well to find Aslan's Country. Every time I see the trailer for the movie, it makes me want to see it more.

As you know, TRON: Legacy comes out next week. First SPOILER ALERT! Now the movie is about Sam Flynn(Garrett Hedlund)the son of Kevin Flynn(Jeff Bridges)from the previous film who has been missing for 20 years. Like his father before, Sam is digitized into the TRON system created by his dad. He finds out that his dad has been held captive in the TRON system for the last 20 years by his program, CLU 2.0! It's now Sam's job to help him escape. SPOILER ENDS!!!!! This movie is in 3D and I'm so watching this.

There's this movie that comes out next year that's based on a book which is called I Am Number Four. It stars Alex pettyfer and Glee's Dianna Agron. I'll tell you that much.

What's up. It's the film wiz here. Sorry I haven't posted in a while but I couldn't find any good movie news but I found some news.

There is this new movie coming out in March, 2011 directed by Zack Snyder(director of 300 and Watchmen). It's called Sucker Punch and it mostly stars hot girls like Australia's Emily Browning, High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens and Spy Kids' Carla Gugino. It's about a girl who's in a mental hospital and escapes with her new friends using her imaginary world she created. The only thing I don't get is why it's called sucker punch if it has that plot.

Another movie is Gulliver's Travels based on the story Gulliver's Travels but the movie will be more modern. It about mailroom man Gulliver(Jack Black) who finds himself as a giant in the tiny island of Lilliput while searching for the secret to the Bermuda Triangle. I guess he found it. While in Lilliput, he helps a peasant(Jason Segel of How i met your mother) score with a hot princess. The movie comes out at the end of the year.

It's review time on the new film Due Date. It's a road trip film with Robert Downey jr(Iron Man) and Zach Galifianakis(The Hangover) with crazy stuff happening along the way to their destination. I give a thumbs up for the director whose the director from The Hangover but the plot was a little weak and it was funny but not as funny than The Hangover so I'm giving it 7 out of 10 stars.

What's up readers it's the film wiz here and yes I'm real. Today I have some exciting news from the movie world.

on YouTube, I found the Green Lantern movie trailer!!!!!!!!!!! It stars Ryan Reynolds(X-Men origins: Wolverine) as Hal Jordan aka The Green Lantern and Blake Lively(Gossip Girl) as love interest Carol Ferris. The Green lantern suit was awesome but looked like spandex which is gay but the special effects for the ring's powers are awesome. I think Ryan Reynolds was born to play the role and I can't wait for this to come out. watch the trailer on movies.yahoo.com or look at the photo below.

Finally Harry Potter has come back the big screen with the deathly hallows part 1. It's review time people!!! the movie was full of action and especially loved the Seven Potters scene and the transformations into Harry Potter. There was really nothing wrong with it and it was just like any Potter movie. so I'm giving it the first 10 OUT OF 10 stars. Congratulations!!!

You Twilight fans might enjoy this since this following was directed by the woman who directed the first twilight film. The film is Red Riding Hood. The film stars Amanda Siegfried as a teenage red riding hood and they made the big bad wolf have a human form and I don't know who's playing the wolf. This film is going to blow!!

The Film Wiz here. Bringing you all the movie talk on this awesome blog. I really hope someone is reading this.

First topic is Cars 2 which hits theaters June 24th 2011 in America. Story is about Lightning McQueen racing in the World Grand Prix to be the world's best racer. While his friend Mater is mistaken for a spy and has an adventure of his own. Voices are Owen Wilson, Larry the Cable Guy and Academy Award Winner Michael Caine. Paul Newman does not return as Doc since he died but Bonnie Hunt will probably be in the movie as Sally.

Next is Megamind which already came out in America but will come out December 9th in Australia. Megamind(Will Ferrell) is a villain who makes his own superhero Titan(Jonah Hill) after the old superhero Metro Man(Brad Pitt) is killed but in the end Titan is the villain and Megamind becomes the hero and gets the girl(Tina Fey). I liked the movie and the plot is good but the costumes these animated superheroes and villains wear are so 1990's. so I'm going to give it 9 out of 10 stars.

I've got a new movie coming at you and it's Kung Fu Panda 2. Looks like all the movies I'm talking about today seem to be non live action. I won't tell you the plot yet but assure you look for the trailer on Youtube. It's still got Jack Black baby from Tenacious D so I know it will be awesome.

Film Wizard here. I know this blog is about movies but I just had a pretty okay day.

At the San Diego 2010 comic-con, one of the new movies they were talking abourt was Cowboys and Aliens. People would think that's insane, but cowboys fighting aliens is like one of my dreams coming to life. The film stars James Bond's Daniel Craig and Indiana Jones' Harrison Ford. Also Olivia Wilde who's gonna be in the new movie Tron Legacy and I hear that she'll be nude in one scene. The director is Happy Hogan in Iron Man and Iron Man 2 and the director of two films. Yep It's Jon Faveru. The trailer is not out yet but the poster is at the bottom.

In December, the film adaption of Yogi Bear will come out and in 3D. I think this movie going to be a bummer for all those fans who adored the cartoon(including your truly). look at the photo below of Yogi and Boo Boo. It's like Alvin and the chipmunks even though I loved the movie. They look so f****n weird.

Today's DVD review is on How to Train your Dragon. It's a good film and the Legend of the Boneknapper Dragon is good. But why were they in separate cases for the DVD double pack. That's just stupid. But it has got pretty good special features so I'm gonna give it 8 out of 10 stars.

My name is the film wizard. If you are reading this, this blog is about movies, movies and nothing but movies.

 The very fist topic is about Harry Potter and the deathly hallows part 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Can I just say that I love harry potter. From the books to the movies I will always love Harry Potter. This movie is about Harry and his friends on the run to find the horcruxes and stop he-who-must-not-be-named. The release date is November 18th.

It's time for the 3D section. Critics are already calling the most incredible 3D movie ever and It's not out until December. I'm talking about Tron Legacy. To me, this is one of the best things that Disney has released and it's in 3D!. If you want to see the trailer, go to movies.yahoo.com

I will now review what's newly on DVD. The A-Team came out a week ago and it's awesome. If you like guns, hot girls, action, comedy, the army and a star studded cast then this movie is just for you. This movie is about how they became the A-Team and what happened before the series. The start of the movie was about how the 4 of them met and ends at the beginning of the series. In my opinion, I give it a 10 out of 10.
