film wizard: Post 10 Date-1/17/2011

Film Wizard here. The 68th Golden Globe Awards happened on Sunday and to me, it's one of the most important awards for movies of the year besides the Oscars.
When The Green Hornet came on Friday, I went to the cinemas immediately. The dialogue was a little cheesy and the same with the storyline. But I think Seth Rogen was good for the roll as the Green Hornet and same as Jay Chou as Kato. I saw how Jay Chou created his own version of Kato unlike Bruce Lee's version. And that awesome car was the best thing out of the whole movie. It had gatling guns, flamethrowers, missiles, bulletproof glass and spinning rims. I guess I'll give it 7 OUT OF 10 STARS.

People know that World War II was one of the most notable wars in history. Well, what if America had Chris Evans as a superhero on their side. Find out in July when he does play one in Captain America: The First Avenger. Agent Smith also known as Hugo Weaving is going to be the big bad nazi as The Red Skull. That's all I know so far for the movie.

I don't really believe in the norse gods, but it's a bit weird that they're making a movie about one of them as a superhero. Thor comes out in May. The trailer does look cool and so does the cast  along with the costumes.

You'll be seeing Thor and Captain America together along with Iron Man and The Hulk in The Avengers in 2012.

film wizard: Post 9 Date-1/9/2011

Film Wizard here. It's my birthday today and so far it sucks. But I won't care about that now. I want to talk about movies now.

I saw Gulliver's Travels on Thursday and it was so funny even though the stupid professional critics hated it. I especially liked that part where Gulliver( Jack Black) peed on the building that was on fire and extinguished it. But the casting could have been a bit better though. I'm also reminded how Gulliver is just like me and there is also a giant robot. I'll just give it 9 OUT OF 10 STARS.

One of my favourite superheroes of all time is Spider-Man. The whole trilogy was like some roller-coaster I didn't want to get off. And I heard that in 2012, they will be releasing a reboot or to be more familiar a remake. I think it's going to be about spidey's years in high school and that he's trying to control his new powers. It's also going to be in 3D.

If any girls are reading it, you all probably know about The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn films. I've never seen any of the twilight films because I know they're all gay. People didn't even read the twilight books until Twilight film came out. And they're splitting Breaking Dawn into two parts. They're just copying the harry potter films and how they made the deathly hallows into two parts. It's like it's some big competition between The Twilight Saga and the Harry Potter Series. My opinion, Harry Potter is better. Sorry readers who like Twilight.

If you read this, post a comment so I've known you've read it. Wish me a happy birthday. Film Wizard out.

film wizard: Post 8 Date-1/4/2011

Film Wizard here. It's 2011 and a whole new year for movies. Last year, I showed a long list of movies that would come out this year and now I decided to tell some more details about them online.

I saw Todd Phillips' movie The Hangover in the cinemas in 2009 and it was pure funny and genius and on May this year, I'm going to be seeing the sequel The Hangover: Part II. Instead of getting drunk in Las Vegas, I hear that they're in Bangkok this time. And since Doug(Justin Bartha) went missing just days before his wedding in the first film, I'm thinking Stu(Ed Helms) will go missing since they'll be in Bangkok for Stu's wedding. I probably told too much already. I won't tell anymore.

If anyone is reading this, I love James Cameron films like Titanic, Avatar, The Terminator, Aliens and all the rest. Well in 2010, he made a few trips to the Gold Coast to see the filming of the new movie he's producing called Sanctum. They say it's inspired by true events. I think it's about some underwater cave and some people have to get out before they die. I might not watch this movie because James Cameron is only producing not directing.

On January the 14th The Green Hornet will come out in theaters. It's based on the campy 70's TV show. It is written and stars funny man Seth Rogen as The Green Hornet and Cameron Diaz as the love interest Lenore Case. It sounds like an action film and they're giving the main role to a funny man. But I saw the trailer and it looks so awesome with full of action and a little bit of comedy for Seth Rogen.

This is the Film Wizard signing off. Farewell, read this and post a comment. see ya.
