film wizard: Post 13 Date-3/31/2011

Film Wizard here. Everywhere I look, people say I have an American accent. Then they say "Where did you get that accent?" and I say "I don't know, I just have it.". People who say this to me, I know I have an American accent so just don't tell me i have one. ok?

The first transformers film was a modernized version of the classic toy robot. The second film had too much jokes and slang. In July, people will see what the third transformers film awaits whether it is either triumphant or one big failure. Transformers: Dark of the Moon is about alien robots of course so i guess that's all I know.

During school holidays, if you want to see a movie for a date or for fun you should see Just Go With It. It stars comedy legend Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. It's a comedy about a womaniser who tells women he's married so they can play the pity card. But when he meets the girl of his dreams, he has to tell her he's getting divorced but she wants to meet the ex-wife. It's funny and perfect for the holidays. I'm giving this 8 OUT OF 10 STARS.

Now this action chick flick is from the director of 300 and Watchmen. It's like The Great Escape meets Inception. It's about five girls who aren't crazy try to escape a mental institution by creating creating three different fantasy worlds where they are soldiers and must find the way out. It is called Sucker Punch and is in cinemas April 7th.

I'm still going to be posting during the holidays but I'm still going to be relaxing and you should be too. Film Wizard signing off.

film wizard: Post 12 Date-3/27/2011

Film wizard here. I know a lot about movies but I see that I now don't know all movies. Someone even gave me a nickname today. Movie man. Post a comment and tell me how you feel about that.

Everyone at least remembers the smurfs right? The little blue people wearing white. Well Hollywood has ran out of movie ideas so they decided to do a movie about the smurfs. Here's some of the actors who will be in the movie.

Hank Azaria-Gargamel
(voices numerous characters from The Simpsons)

Neil Patrick Harris-Patrick Winslow
(plays Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother)

Jayma Mays-Grace Winslow
(plays Emma from Glee)

Sofia Vergara-Odile
(plays Gloria from Modern Family)

Frank Langella- The Narrator
(plays Richard M. Nixon from Frost/Nixon)

Jonathan Winters-Papa Smurf
(plays numerous roles in the film The Adventures Of Rocky & Bullwinkle)

Katy Perry-Smurfette
(famous pop singer)

Anton Yelchin-Clumsy Smurf
(plays Kyle Reese from Terminator Salvation)

Fred Armisen-Brainy Smurf
(regular player on the American comedy sketch show Saturday Night Live)

George Lopez-Grouchy Smurf
(voices Papi from Beverly Hills Chihuahua)

And many more actors will voice numerous other smurfs. Also the smurfs will be CGI. The plot is that the smurfs are transported from their village to New York City.

The X-Men have been around for years from comic books to TV shows and to films. Well imagine how it all began. A new X-men film will release in June to tell how the X-Men first started with a sleuth of new characters. The people who star in the film you'll have seen them in some movies but no one really knows who they are. Oh, the movie is called X-Men: First Class by the way. the film is set in the 60's. GROOVY!

It's review time! I will now review the film big mommas: like father, like son. Like the second film, I felt that a sequel was unnecessary for the first big momma film. And each big momma film is targeted to a different audience. The first was for mostly adults. The second one was targeted to a family audience. And the third one was targeted for teen audiences. These filmmakers are just messing with our heads now. The new big momma film didn't even focus on Martin Lawrence's character and he's the main character. I'm giving this film 2 OUT OF 10 STARS.

I should actually start making longer posts. Anyway, if anyone is reading this try and post a comment and then tell all your friends. This is the film wizard signing off.
